Bookpoint Ltd receive in and store up to 40 million books a year on behalf of our Publishers. Bookpoint operate a Booking in diary receiving up to 200 pallets a day.
Over 30,000 locations available. Wire guided VNA trucks. Picking at 10 metres high. Wireless RF technology. Over 25 miles of Racking if you stood our beams end to end.
Stock is picked from Bulk and replenished to forward locations with scanning equipment. Bookpoint operate Perpetual Inventory for all stock.
All loose book picking is conducted on our 50,000sq ft floor. All cartons travel up from the ground floor and travel around by automated conveyor stopping at up to 23 zones for books before returning downstairs for despatch to our Customers. From launch to completion each carton will travel ¾ mile along our conveyor line.
All staff issued with id stamps for monitoring performance. Approximately 8% of our daily picking cartons are checked at random. Discrepancy line is system driven for cartons that fail weight checking. Individual customers can be set up for 100% order checking. Perpetual inventory is carried out in both loose picking and bulk locations.
All cartons go through a packing process and are automatically bound by an inline Strapping machine prior to scanning for despatch to Customers. Larger orders can be consolidated downstairs awaiting completion prior to despatch to our Customers.
Over 38 million books a year are despatched through Bookpoint.
All small Customer orders are packed automatically through our Q10 machine.
Large customer orders are scanned to pallets, neatly wrapped and manifested to allotted Carriers. Orders for Customers in the UK can expect delivery the day after despatch.
Bookpoint Ltd accept and process authorised returns from our customers on behalf of our Publishers. Automated sortation line which scans books to verify claim. Over 6 million books processed per annum.
